ABOUT CASA MIS SUEÑOS
Casa Mis Sueños is a non-profit that is passionate and centered around releasing supernatural justice, mercy and love to the people of Ecuador to bring freedom and see transformation.
Every week we look into the eyes of the broken and poor as well as the wealthy and powerful and watch Jesus' love radically heal and set them free.
Since 2006, we have partnered with Jennifer and Jonatan Toledo (Associate Pastors of Expression58 LA) and their ministry. We watch justice reach all corners of society by overwhelming the people of Ecuador with love as well as ministering to: street kids, prostitutes in the red light district, youth jails and prisons, and the poor and forgotten.
We know that God has given us a mandate and also the authority to change the culture of Ecuador. We do that by raising leaders that carry the heart of God into all areas of society and by creating service opportunities for our volunteers to go into our different projects to see the love of God bring freedom, healing, and transformation.
We have held meetings with governmental leaders and politicians to be a voice for the unheard, have created connections with leaders of the hospitals and medical staff to see hospital waiting rooms cleared out, and have empowered our team to run large church meetings and serve the local church.
We believe that the answer the world needs is supernatural and we are the vessels God chooses to use for us to see His plan be fulfilled in the earth.
MISSION
To be an organization that models how to establish safe spaces that fo wholistic restoration for individuals vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
VISION
We are an organization that offers opportunities for life change and development through processes and programs intended for people exposed to sexual exploitation in order for them to experience a life of love, justice, and freedom.
OUR CORE VALUES & BELIEFS
TRINITY
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
WATER BAPTISM
We believe that every believer should be water baptized as we have been instructed in the Bible. Water baptism is a public declaration of a believer's union with Christ, both in death and resurrection.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, His baptism, and His empowerment of the Church. The Holy Spirit is essential in revealing Jesus to us and through us. He is our helper. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, a Christian is enabled to live a godly life and operate in the gifts of the Spirit.
THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are available to us today and should be pursued by Christians today. These gifts are simply tools that the Lord gives us to reach, love, and point people to Him. The gifts are to build up the church community and to reach the lost.
INTIMACY AND THE PRESENCE OF GOD
We have full and complete access to the Father because of what Jesus did on the cross. Without this, we have nothing. This is what everything is about. We are to cultivate the presence of God in our personal lives and minister to others from that place. Our top priority is to follow where His presence leads us.
PRAYER & WORSHIP
Prayer & Worship are essential components of the life of a believer. This is a way that we connect with God, remember who He is, remember who we are in Him, build community with one another and experience the presence of God.
JUSTICE
We believe that God’s justice is the restoration of every violation of love. We are to live as conduits of the love of God. God is love and His heart is for Himself to be revealed through His children. We believe that love is always the answer to bringing justice to the situations and world around us. We believe that the Church is the answer to a lost and dying world.
HONOR
We honor because we are honorable. Honor begins in our own heart, not because we deem something worthy of honor. As we honor God, we honor ourselves, we honor others and we obtain and receive God’s perspective and purposes for our lives. We believe that humility proceeds honor.
SERVICE
The bible teaches us that Jesus didn’t come to be served, but to serve. Serving others is a way that we mirror Christ to others and expose them to His extravagant love.
SAFETY
Safety is for everyone’s benefit. Rules will need to be followed 100% of the time because they are rules for a reason.
INTEGRITY
We walk in and live a life of integrity. Everything that we do, we do it for God and acknowledge that we are representing Him.
GROWTH & TAKING RISKS
Growth is not found in your comfort zone. Throughout the internship, you will be given many opportunities to do things you have never done before. The mindset of our interns needs to be if you haven’t done something, then today’s the first! It’s important that you go beyond where you have been before and are willing to take initiative to challenge yourself.
GENEROSITY
It is our joy to be generous. We don’t have to be generous, we get to be generous. Christ modeled this for us so well by giving everything, even his own life for us. We believe that it is better to give than to receive and we always partner with the heart of God when we choose to walk in the joy of generosity.
UNITY & COLLABORATION
Unity is not always agreement, unity is found in Christ. It is important that everyone on the team feels valued, supported, loved, and connected despite our differences. The more we love one another, the greater power we will walk in and display together. The bible says that they will know God by the way that we love one another. We value working together as the body to impact the kingdom and believe that team works create a safe environment for people to win and to fail, but nonetheless still be loved. We always see each other through the lens of God and remain in unity through His love.
EMPOWERING
Always be mindful of how you can activate those around you and call out how God sees other people. We challenge others to step into their God-given identity and choose to be a part of discovering and championing others in all that God has for them.
JOY & GRATITUDE
The joy of the Lord is our strength and strength is necessary every day of our lives. What you celebrate becomes the cultural norm. Celebration cultivates an atmosphere of gratefulness, hope, love, and faith for everything that God can do.
